With less than six months to go before the Presidential election, a new poll shows President Joe Biden has hit a new low point of voter support in Arizona.
The latest Arizona Public Opinion Pulse put Biden’s support at 41% among registered voters. In comparison, Noble Predictive Insights says his poll numbers never fell below 44% in 2020.
Pollsters said third party candidates are skewing support away from Biden. With Independent Robert F. Kennedy in the race, Biden loses seven points among Democrats and nine points with Independents.
“Democrats aren’t excited about another Biden candidacy – and RFK Jr.’s high support proves it. Right now, a chunk of Democrats, Independents, and young voters are willing to leave Biden for RFK Jr. And the 2024 election will turn, in part, on whether he can get them back,” said NPI Chief of Research David Byler.
Donald Trump’s numbers are also lower than 2020, but pollsters said he has not lost as much support as the current president. He’s currently holding 44% of registered voters in Arizona.
