- NPR Washington correspondent Sarah McCammon has authored a new book based on her own life story, called The Ex-vangelicals: Loving, Living, and Leaving the White Evangelical Church. It follows her journey from being brought up in a deeply evangelical Midwestern family, to challenging this strict worldview for most of her adult life. Then, McCammon covered the 2016 Trump presidential campaign for NPR, and witnessed the power and influence that evangelical Christian beliefs hold over the political right. Duncan Moon interviews McCammon about the book.
