The 57th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream" speech, is this Friday, August 28. This year another demonstration is taking place in Washington, which the Rev. Al Sharpton has dubbed the “Get Your Knee Off Our Necks” March. The rallying cry for this event echoes Sharpton's remarks at the funeral of George Floyd, whose death sparked worldwide protest against police brutality. Those expected to attend the march include attorney Benjamin Crump, the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner and others.
