According to the Prison Policy Initiative, in the United States 80% of women in jail and 56% of women in prison are mothers. Most are the primary caretakers of their children. Michele Keller found herself at rock bottom of her 23-year addiction when her own mother passed away. Michele had already had 4 children and was serving time in prison for the 3rd time, but she knew this time would be different. Her long recovery has now brought her new hope, new life, and new joy to her role as a mother.
